About The Maker
I was born and raised in Souris, Prince Edward Island, where life is shaped by the ocean and the shoreline is never far away.
Like many Islanders, I spent several years living away from home. And while I loved the experience, I always found myself missing the simple, grounding beauty of the coast—the red sand, the salt air, and the feeling of being connected to something familiar.
It was during that time that I started creating.
What began as a way to stay close to home grew into a passion. Using sand collected from the beaches of Souris, I began crafting resin pieces inspired by the textures and colours of the Island. Each piece is layered slowly and intentionally, reflecting the movement of the ocean and the natural beauty that surrounds us here.
Today, I’m back home in Souris, continuing that work in a place that means everything to me.
Seaside Shop itself holds a special place in my heart. I’ve recently taken over the shop from my mother as she stepped into retirement, continuing something she built with so much care. It’s more than a shop—it’s part of our family story.
Many of the pieces you’ll find here are created by the people closest to me—my mother, my niece, my aunts, and my sisters. Everything is thoughtfully made, rooted in creativity, and connected to this place we call home.
When you bring something home from Seaside Shop, you’re not just buying a product—you’re taking a small piece of the Island with you. Something handmade, meaningful, and created with care.
